Tammy is a local mom and grandma who lived in a tent most of the summer. Because of generous donations to United Way, she was connected with Martin, a homeless outreach coordinator. Together, they broke down her barriers and helped her on the path to success.

To build a strong community, it takes all of us to take action to ensure everyone gets access to the opportunities to succeed.
Did you know in our community alone, nearly 1,000 people are experiencing homelessness on any given night? Of those, 200 are children. And the number of people experiencing hunger is almost 16,000 people a year. And of that number, over 6,000 are children.
At United Way, we want to help every family reach their goal of living in a warm, safe home, and having nutritious food to eat. But we need our community’s support to help.
