We Are All Connected; how Career Coaches change lives

We are fortunate to live in such a generous and caring community. At United Way, we see the amazing ways that we are all connected – as neighbors, as citizens, as family, and as friends. We all share the value of community and want everyone to have opportunities to succeed.

Within our Bold Goal of Helping People be Independent, we support an initiative called Career Coaches. These specialists work with individuals in poverty to find a path to gain job skills for high-demand careers that provide a family-sustaining wage, and help them navigate barriers such as finding child care, obtaining transportation, getting an apartment, etc.

By comprehensively helping each individual with their unique needs, Career Coaches can get people out of poverty and put them on a great path to stay out of poverty.
