According to Charity Navigator, a preferred program expense ratio for a charity is 70% or more of expenses directed toward programs. United Way of Cass-Clay is proud to invest 82% of donations directly into our initiatives and Bold Goals and keep 99% of donations local.

Funds Secured to Improve Lives 

  • Individual Giving refers to gifts generously donated by more than 7,000 individuals participating in our annual campaign.
  • Impact Initiatives includes  UNITED to End Homelessness and collaborative work focused on lifting families out of poverty.
  • Special Events includes income generated from events such as the School Supply Drive, the UNITED Fore Kids Golf Scramble, UNITED for Impact Women’s Luncheon, and events coordinated by our corporate partners and volunteers.
  • Corporate Giving refers to investments made by more than 150 local companies.
  • Grants, Sponsorships and Investment Income includes funds generated from event partners, foundations, public funding and investment portfolios.

These investments fund our network of verified impact partner programs that help prevent hunger and homelessness, prepare children to succeed, and strengthen families. These investments help thousands in need throughout Cass and Clay counties
  • Administration includes our fundraising efforts, HR, finance, legal, technology, and other services that support United Way initiatives and our verified impact partners.
