Our 2025 Annual Report is now available: United Is the Way We Build Brighter Futures
At United Way of Cass-Clay, one truth continues to guide everything we do: when our community unites, lives change. Our 2025 Annual Report is a powerful reflection of what’s possible when generosity meets action and neighbors show up for one another.
This past year, we made meaningful progress across our Bold Goals—because of you.
Together, we helped prevent hunger and homelessness, providing nearly 78,000 nights of shelter and distributing more than 5.6 million pounds of food to families in need. We also launched the United to End Homelessness initiative, bringing together over 75 community leaders to create a coordinated, long-term solution for our region.
We continued preparing children to succeed, ensuring 96% of children in early education programs entered kindergarten ready to learn and connecting more than 1,600 students with mentors who help them thrive. And through our School Supply Drive, over 6,500 students started the school year equipped and confident.
We also worked to strengthen families, helping individuals secure better employment, access mental health services, and build pathways to long-term stability—because thriving families are the foundation of a strong community.
But beyond the numbers are the stories.
Stories like Tara’s—a mom who, with the support of United Way partners, broke a generational cycle of poverty, earned her degree, and now serves others in our community. Her journey is a reminder that when we invest in one person, we change the future for entire families.
None of this happens alone.
It takes donors, volunteers, businesses, and partners—people who believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive. It takes a community willing to act with courage and compassion.
As we look ahead to celebrating 100 years of impact in 2027, we remain focused on what matters most: building brighter futures, together.
Because united is the way.
