Sandi Piatz Named President & CEO of United Way of Cass-Clay

On July 23, 2025, the United Way Board of Trustees announced that Sandi Piatz has been named President & CEO of United Way of Cass-Clay. Sandi’s first day serving the community with the United Way team will be August 25, 2025. We look forward to introducing Sandi to our community and partnering with her to continue advancing our mission.

Sandi is a transformational leader with more than two decades of executive leadership experience. She brings a unique blend of strategic acumen, operational excellence, and heartfelt community engagement, alongside a proven ability to lead teams, drive innovation, and build cross-sector partnerships that deliver lasting results.

Currently, Sandi serves as Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at OmniByte. Prior to that, she was Chief Market Officer at Advantage Payment Services and a Principal at Eide Bailly. She also held various roles at Microsoft, culminating as Fargo Campus Site Leader and Senior Director of Community Program Management, overseeing campus operations, STEM and employee engagement programs, and Microsoft’s local GIVE campaign.

Sandi is known for her collaborative leadership style, strategic mindset, and ability to translate vision into action. Her leadership is rooted in creating spaces where people feel connected, empowered, and inspired to make a difference.

She has a rich history of board and volunteer service, including the FMWF Chamber of Commerce, Fargo Moorhead Science Museum, Junior Achievement, Kindred Area Community Foundation, University of Jamestown, and YWCA Cass Clay.

Reflecting on stepping into this new role, Sandi shared:
“I am truly honored to step into the role of President & CEO at United Way of Cass-Clay. This community means a great deal to me, and I believe leadership should uplift, connect, and serve. My journey with United Way began 15 years ago through the 35 Under 35 Women’s Leadership Program, shaping how I view community and service. I’m committed to creating spaces where people feel empowered to make a difference. United Way’s mission to inspire and activate our community deeply resonates with me. I’m humbled to lead this organization forward and look forward to working with our partners, donors, and community members to build a strong future for all.”

She is a value-driven leader who understands the power of strong relationships and meaningful collaboration to drive sustainable impact. Throughout her career, Sandi has built trusted partnerships across sectors and led with both heart and vision. Our United Way Board is confident her blend of strategic insight, authentic leadership, and passion for service will guide United Way into an exciting new chapter—strengthening lives and deepening our community impact” said Board of Trustees Chair, Ashton Hansen.

Sandi and her husband Perry have a daughter Alexis, son-in-law Thomas, son Peyton, and future daughter-in-law Emma. In her free time, she enjoys reading, running, hiking, yoga, and golf.
