Each year we take time to recognize and celebrate the amazing companies who give back to the community and LIVE UNITED, as well as honor and lift up the tremendous individuals who volunteer. These companies and people are leaders who help make our community a great place to live, work, and thrive. Congratulations to this year’s Nominees! These people and companies inspire all of us to continue our work to help our neighbors in need.
They have truly hit all the high notes as a United Way volunteer and supporter. This year, our United Way Barbershop Quartet (or should we say Triplet) visited our award nominees to sing their praises and announce that they have been officially nominated for an award. We don’t want to sound like a broken record, but our award nominees are truly are extraordinary. Their dedication to United Way and our community has really struck a chord with our team. We hope our visit today was music to your ears – congratulations on your nomination!
Join us on March 31 as we honor all of our nominees and announce the winners
On March 31, we’ll be pulling out all of the stops for our Community Celebration & Annual Meeting. It won’t be the same old song and dance – we’ve got some surprises up our sleeve that you won’t want to miss.
Join us for our United Way Community Celebration & Annual Meeting (formerly the LIVE UNITED Awards) on March 31 at 3:30 p.m. to honor people like you, share how your support helped local families this year, and enjoy some entertainment, too!
You’ll also get to find out who won this year’s awards, and which companies made the Top 50 Generous Workplaces and Top 25 Engaged Workplaces lists. We’ll top it off with an interactive performance with Dueling Pianos by Fun Pianos!
Get excited for the Entertainment and Social from 4:30-5:30 p.m. – everyone is welcome to join us at the new Armory Event Center. They’ll be appetizers from Urban Foods Catering, drinks, and you can request songs for the dueling pianos. No singing required, just a spirit for living UNITED.

United Way Change Maker Award
A Campaign Cabinet volunteer who put in outstanding effort to engage our corporate community to give back.
United Way Humble Hero Award
A person or company whose everyday exceptionality and kindness, remind us we all have the opportunity to be heroic to those in need by stepping forward to volunteer.
United Way Magnetic Marvel Award
A local company that brought energy, enthusiasm, and creativity to their company’s United Way campaign.
United Way MVP (Most Valuable Person/People) Award
An outstanding Employee Campaign Coordinator volunteer or group of volunteers who gave it their all when it came to spearheading their company’s United Way campaign.
United Way Power of Partnership Award
A company or person who personify collaboration by extending their hearts, minds, dollars, and/or goods to further the mission of United Way in an invaluable and immeasurable way.
United Way Rising Star Award
A company who stepped forward to give back to United Way for the first time and is starting a tradition of giving back to our community.
United Way Top 25 Engaged Workplaces and the United Way Heart of Community Award
Each year, United Way honors a group of companies and organizations that go above and beyond to encourage their teams to get involved with the work of United Way.
United Way is honored to recognize the #1 Most Engaged Workplace with the Heart of Our Community Award. This award honors a company whose corporate culture embodies what it means to LIVE UNITED through their commitment to taking action to positively change our community. The company recognized has volunteerism woven throughout everything they do as a company.
